The Last Nightingale

He hunted for her across the realms; he will not lose her again.

When a mortal forms a dangerous alliance with a mysterious magic wielder, she finds herself in the middle of a deadly political conspiracy. While fleeing for their lives, she uncovers a buried identity and power that could save the realms from darkness—if she can survive the mad king hunting her, the magic threatening to consume her, and the inexplicable bond she shares with the male she just met.

In the realm of Ander—where magic is outlawed, and those suspected of wielding are executed—Caitriona Cavill is happy to be mortal. Working as a spy for the capital's crime lord is dangerous, but it's safer than being born a Satyr, or worse, a Wielder—even if it does mean a life of poverty in the Iron Quarter. When she is assigned to track a mysterious male from the fighting pits, Cait discovers he's been looking for her. Chastain claims to be entangled in a conflict spanning multiple realms and insists Cait is the key. Amid rising political tension, the two form a tentative alliance, but it's clear he knows more about her than he's letting on. When they are attacked by a palace assassin, Cait kills their assailant with a burst of magic she should not possess, and her life as she knows it collapses. Exposed and hunted, Cait flees with Chastain to the Fae realm of Eislan, where she learns she is a powerful Fae whose memories were magically bound. As darkness creeps across the realms, Cait must decide if she will trust Chastain and all she's learned about her past—about them—and whether unbinding her powers will save the realms or destroy them.
